The committee invites proposals for oral presentations and poster presentations at the 9th World Rett Syndrome Congress to be held in Gold Coast, Australia on 2nd to 5th October 2024.
As the author of the Abstract submission, you may prefer:
(a) an Oral Presentation ; or
(b) a Poster Presentation
The scientific committee may determine the suitability of abstracts for poster or oral presentation depending on the overall program, and may suggest an alternate format depending on time and facilities available.

Registration to attend the Congress is not a prerequisite to submit an abstract.
You will be notified via email when your abstract is reviewed by 15 July, 2024.

Submission Types
Abstracts are invited to be submitted in one of the formats described below. You can select the format of your presentation during the submission process.
Oral Presentation
Select this option to submit an oral presentation. Following acceptance, authors will be given clear instructions regarding the length of their presentation and the time reserved for discussion, where and when the presentation will take place and detailed guidance on preparing a PowerPoint presentation based on available equipment and facilities.
Poster Presentation
Select this option to submit a poster. Posters will be displayed within the exhibition hall at the 9th World Rett Syndrome Congress. Following acceptance, authors will be given detailed instructions on how to prepare their posters, where and when to hang them, and if there will be an opportunity to discuss their work.
Guidelines for Submissions
To submit an abstract for an oral presentation or poster the text of abstract submissions must adhere to the following:
- Be 300 words or less
- (Research Presentations) Include the following sub-headings: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions
- (Non-Research Presentations) Can be unstructured (e.g. personal stories, etc)
- Not include the authors' names and affiliations in the body of the abstract
- Be written in English
NB: ALL ABSTRACTS WILL BE PRINTED EXACTLY AS THEY ARE SUBMITTED. Therefore, we recommend that you compose the text of the abstract in a separate document before beginning the online submission process. Check the spelling and grammar of the text before submission. The conference organisers will not edit any portion of abstracts (e.g., title, authors, affiliations, spelling errors).
