Flying to the World Congress
If flying to the Congress, planes will land at one of two airports from which one would then travel to Surfers Paradise.
Brisbane Domestic and International Airport

Each has its own terminal but they are a kilometre apart. To drive from this part of Brisbane to Surfers Paradise would take 60 to 75 minutes depending on the amount of traffic. An alternative is the Airtrain, the station for which can be accessed by lift, escalator, or stairs. The train will travel to Helensvale station, disembark there then catch the light rail (tram) to Surfers Paradise getting off at the Cypress Ave stop if staying at the QT Hotel. Alternatively, simply catch a taxi or Uber from Helensvale station to your accommodation in Surfers Paradise or surrounds. Gold Coast Airport

Airlines which use the airport are international (Air Asia, Air New Zealand) and Australian (Bonza, Jetstar, Qantas, Rex Airlines and Virgin). Please note the most common method for disembarking and boarding is stairs from the tarmac, not ramps. If such access is inappropriate, the airline would need to be contacted. The drive to Surfers Paradise is 45 minutes.
